Security Solutions for the Modern Age

Be Alert. Consider hiring a personal security guard.  If you are an American abroad you are at constant threat.  Recent years have seen a massive increase in personal security guards.  These services provide drivers, security personnel, and security consulting services to make sure you are protected at all times.  This is especially important if you are working over seas in countries like Colombia, Mexico, and Kuwait.  Check with your security company to see if they provide kidnapping insurance as well.

Protect your computer. Often times we focus too much on personal security and less on computer security.  It's quite possible that the next security incident that affects you will involve computer security.  Among the precautions to take are: install and keep up-to-date antivirus software; download a spyware and adware killer and run it regularly; make sure your wireless internet access router is secure.
